Dr Leon Zlotos
Leon is an Associate Post-graduate Pharmacy Dean with responsibilities including Professional Development, the Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist Programme, and Leadership development (including the Scottish Pharmacy Clinical Leadership Fellows (SPCLFs)).
Leon is a pharmacist with experience in education, research, digital development, and community pharmacy practice. His expertise and research interests include Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) and Interprofessional Education. He has extensive experience in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), including e-learning modules, webinars, simulation, virtual patients, and blended curriculum design.
In terms of leadership, Leon led the Professional Development team in NES Pharmacy between 2015 and 2023, during which he transformed educational delivery from traditional face to face evening courses and hard copy distance learning packs, into an education service which is predominantly delivered through online technology (Zlotos and Stewart, 2021). More recently, Leon led NES in the development of 'NES' Approach to Online Education'; a strategic document which has influenced the direction of the NES corporate improvement programme.
