CESR (CP) & CEGR (CP)

Trainees appointed to a programme who have previously trained in non GMC approved posts will complete the rest of the programme and gain the remaining competencies in what is known as the ‘combined programme’, at the end of which they can apply for entry onto the Specialist Register via a CESR (CP), or to the GP Register via a CEGPR (CP).

The GMC require trainees on the CESR/GEGPR route to complete their documentation for submission before their first ARCP.  It is vital for trainees in this situation that they have their CESR (CP) or CEGPR (CP) pathway confirmed to them in advance of their first ARCP.
