Paediatric Glasgow Academic Training Environment (GATE) programme 2024-2025
We are now pleased to invite applications for the Paediatric Glasgow Academic Training Environment (GATE) programme.
The aim of the programme is to encourage individuals with an interest in research and teaching to apply to pursue their goals.
As such we invite anyone with an interest in academia holding an ST1-3 position in paediatrics in the West of Scotland to apply. Participation in the Academic/Specialised Foundation Year programme is not mandatory.
No dedicated research time is provided but successful applicants will benefit from affiliation to the University of Glasgow and an academic mentor to prepare them for subsequent opportunities, such as entry to competitive research training schemes or funded higher degrees.

To apply, please submit a CV and a covering letter stating: 1) why you wish to participate in the programme; 2) how it will benefit your academic career goals; and 3) your research experience so far. Please also include details of a previous supervisor or mentor, who will be able to provide an academic reference.

Applicants will be advised if they have an interview by 16th September
Interviews will be held on the morning of Thursday 26th September
