Top Five things you need to know.

  • Excellent opportunities for regular access to scan/theatre sessions. Generally paired with your consultant supervisor where possible to allow progress in training
  • Very flexible rota – no problems getting study leave/annual leave, 40% banding so less work out of hours compared to most units.
  • Free parking on all sites
  • Particularly supportive midwifery team and generally an excellent place for transition from SHO to registrar rota
  • Excellent for getting involved with provision of teaching and medical education – the department has recently won several awards that reflect this
