Car (ideally) as large area covered particularly if travelling between clinics. 

M77 Glasgow to Crosshouse. Longer journey times if outpatient clinic in Ayr.

Travel miles financially reimbursed.

 

Bus: X76 Buchanan Street to Kilmarnock. 1x change to Crosshouse hospital.

Train: Glasgow Central to Kilmarnock. Bus to Crosshouse hospital.

Top Five things you need to know.

  • Free on-site parking including all peripheral clinic locations. Parking spaces readily available.
  • Supportive and friendly consultants and senior midwives. Provide invaluable support to junior registrars on solo night shifts in DGH. Very sociable unit with great Christmas/summer party.
  • Very good opportunities for gynaecology operating as middle grade.
  • Good obstetric scan opportunities.
  • Famous scones. Canteen and doctors facilities very good. Doctors room with kettle, fridge, microwave, tv, comfy chairs.
