Welcome to Obstetrics & Gynaecology training in the East of Scotland region. The majority of your training will take place in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee though you will also attend outpatient clinics and operating in Perth Royal Infirmary. There is opportunity to rotate to Victoria hospital, Fife and educational placements throughout Scotland. You will get to know your trainers well and we will help you to develop. We run a full Assisted Conception service. We have excellent laparoscopic training in oncology and urogynaecological surgery. We have specialist fetal maternal clinics and high risk obstetrics.
We are very happy to support trainees who wish to work less than full time or have out of programme opportunities. Our ethos is that happy supported people are better trainees.
Dundee is a thriving city with a rich art, technology and design heritage. Tayside has recently made a bid for city of culture. You are in easy reach of both coast and country side. Activities such as cycling, mountain biking, kayaking and paddle boarding are easily available.
