This symposium seeks to demystify the group of conditions classically referred to as connective tissue diseases. These multi-system immune diseases masquerade as different phenotypes between individuals and across the life course. Advances in their biological understanding are now enabling the stratification of such heterogeneity and are beginning to inform novel therapeutic strategies.
