Course/Event Description

The event offers a reduced rate for non-consultants and registration is free for medical students 

This symposium will appeal to Physicians, General practitioners, doctors is postgraduate training, medical students, and allied health care professionals. The topics in this year’s symposium include collaborative work between primary and secondary care especially providing specialist care in community, interactions between medical specialities (focus on diabetes and cardiology) and recent developments in medical genetics including community genetic testing.

The doctors in postgraduate training will present interesting cases and quality improvement projects.

  • Specialist care in community
  • Talks on outpatient antibiotic treatment
  • Community respiratory care in remote and rural populations
  • 10th Annual Jim Petrie Lecture - talks on cardiology & diabetes 
  • Doctors in training case presentations 
  • RCPE Keynote lecture - Clinical genetics: From clinics to community
