We know how important connecting with peers is, especially as you navigate your training and the first five years of practice. That's why we're delighted to host an in-person networking event for all AiT and First5 members across the West Scotland Faculty. Join your local Faculty Board AiT and First5 reps - Drs Issmael Fergague, Akram Hussain and Gorkem Hamali - for some food, the chance to connect with others just like you, and to hear from our speaker, Dr Michael Blackmore.
Dr Blackmore - a GP partner, mentor for doctors with addiction issues, and recently appointed Chair of West Scotland Faculty Board (to name a few of the hats he wears) - will deliver a presentation on 'stress, mental health and addiction in medical students, junior doctors and colleagues - how to recover and improve your resilience (career survival tips)'.
The West Scotland Faculty Meet and Connect event will take place on Wednesday 31 May 2023, 19:00 - 21:30 in the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel. With thanks to the West Scotland Faculty Board, tickets are free of charge for members (£15 for non-members) and include refreshments and lite bites.
