The course begins with an overview of the principles of the initial resuscitation and stabilisation of the critically ill child before moving to five immersive high-fidelity simulations.

Course overview

This Children's Acute Transport Service (CATS) simulation course will focus on the core clinical and team working skills required for the stabilisation and transport of critically ill children. It incorporates technology-enhanced learning using high-fidelity simulation to gain experience in the management of common paediatric emergencies. A practical hands-on course for all members of the multidisciplinary team, facilitated by senior CATS team faculty.

Paediatrics Consultants, Paediatrics Registrars, Anaesthesia Consultants, Anaesthesia Registrars, Nurses, ODP/Anaesthesia Nurses are welcome to apply.

Course dates available to book

Registration Information

The course is £300 for Nurses / ODP's / Registrars and £350 for Consultants for the full day course (including lunch).
