Sustaining International Recruitment within workforce strategies - Different models of international recruitment for the NMAHP workforce supporting cost effectiveness and specialty recruitment:

In this webinar we will be joined by NHS Grampian, Apollo Education UK and Charkos Global who will share an overview of good practice from their international recruitment programmes. The session will provide insight on lead recruiter/collaboration models, specialty programmes for mental health and learning disability roles and  in country programmes- that include OSCE prep and NHS practices preparation for working in the UK that may support to reduce costs and fill specialty vacancies.

The session will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss these different models of international recruitment and how they may support their workforce planning strategies.

 

 

Learning Session 13: The Impact of Diverse Roles in Building Flexible and Resilient Teams to Meet Demand

The CWS team is delighted to be joined by four speakers for learning session 13 who will share examples of how roles within Healthcare Science, Pharmacy, and Medical Associate Professions (MAPs) can complement medical roles to collaboratively deliver high quality clinical services.

Susan Donaldson, Principal Educator for Innovation & Workforce Diversification, NHS Scotland Academy, will provide an overview of NES’s recent programme of evidence gathering and engagement work in order to understand the potential opportunities associated with deployment of Medical Associate Professionals (MAPs) across Scotland. Healthcare scientists, John Shone and Daniela Munteanu, will share how their roles supports medical colleagues in NHS Tayside. Scott Garden, Director of Pharmacy in NHS Lothian, will share examples of extended pharmacist's role in enabling a flexible and resilient teams. 

 

Learning Session 14: NHS Forth Valley Breast Service - an Example of Transforming the Medical Workforce

CWS are delighted to welcome Professor Juliette Murray, NHS Forth Valley’s Deputy Medical Director for Acute Services and Associate Clinical Director at the National Centre for Sustainable Deliver as the guest speaker for learning session 14.

Juliette will deliver a spotlight session on the 'NHS Forth Valley Breast Service - an Example of Transforming the Medical Workforce'. The session will look at how Juliette and her team have used interventions such as flexible job planning, split posts between NHS Forth Valley and NHS Shetland (and other Boards) and using diverse roles to transform the way the medical workforce operates within a supportive MDT team, to deliver high quality care.
