FAO Core, Specialty - Resident Doctors in Training
Dear Colleagues,
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) works in collaboration with Guy’s & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) to enable candidates in Scotland access the NHS Fellowship in Clinical Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This programme aims to ‘equip healthcare leaders to adopt clinical AI’ (Guy’s & St Thomas’) 2025. The learning objectives of the curriculum are organised under themes:

Clinical AI Strategy & Culture |
The fellowship aligns to the NES Learning and Education Research and Innovation Plan. In particular, the programme enhances research and innovation capacity (thematic pillar 5).
Recruitment to cohort five of this fellowship [entry August 2026] is open from 10 November until 15 December.
NES is funding 4 places, 3 for medical resident doctors and 1 for an Allied Health Professional (working at AfC 7, 8a or 8b level).
